Epson WorkForce EC-C7000 Specifications

Epson’s new WorkForce EC-C7000 is a dynamic A3 color multifunction model designed to rev up productivity while enhancing image quality, powered by the company’s state-of-the-art PrecisionCore technology. The EC-C7000 provides fast, smooth, reliable service when no one has time for great color.

This MFP’s ability to handle a range of business printing applications up to 13″ x 19″ is no less alluring than its speed. Also welcome in any busy office is its even greater ability to handle giant jobs with low intervention, offering an impressive 1,350-sheet capacity, two 250-page standard sheet trays, and individual high-yield ink cartridges, making replacing ink infrequent and the total cost of ownership impressively low.

The WorkForce EC-C7000 isn’t short on speed, either. It cranks out our 20-page text document at 17.4 ppm. That’s several pages per minute faster than the ET-4760, Epson’s WorkForce Pro WF-3733, and the MFC-J805DW and a few tenths of a ppm behind the HP 9015. Further, we clocked the EC-C7000’s first page out at 9 seconds (3 seconds faster than the other color inkjets), making it a whiz in productivity, too.

Output quality is its strong suit, too. Text comes out well-shaped and highly legible, even at small point sizes. Business graphics and color charts showed bold, well-saturated colors and no evidence of ink distribution, banding, or other inkjet artifacts. Graphics, too, looked quite good, making any printed materials look highly professional.

Moreover, all these functions – printing, scanning, copying, and faxing – are woven together seamlessly via an easy-to-navigate user interface. Its dual 250-sheet front trays, rear specialty-paper feed, and 50-sheet Auto Document Feeder (ADF) made working with this all-in-one printing dynamo during our testing a snap. All that, and the EC-C7000’s cost per page (CPP) for both black and color prints falls well below that of most other all-in-one inkjets, including most of the EcoTank models – as long as you don’t run out of ink too often. However, if you do, with the ET-C4750’s subscriber-size ink bottles, replenishing one’s supplies should hurt a bit less.

Connectivity is a crucial feature of modern printers, and they don’t disappoint. It can handle a range of connection options, such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and even NFC. Creating some flexible or remote printing solution should be a simple task — something that’s important when workplaces are more diverse than ever. Integration with Epson’s Smart Panel app allows users to control printer functions from their mobile device, further improving user convenience and operational efficiency. There’s also a swathe of security features to ensure any sensitive information sent to the printer stays secure. All in all, with its excellent display, outstanding performance, and broad functionality — combined with superb connectivity and a sleek design — the Epson WorkForce EC-C7000 should be on the radar of many businesses looking for a device that can slot seamlessly into operational workflows, and still offer some power to spare.
