Epson SureColor SC-T2100 is a simple, straightforward, large-format printer appropriate for a small office or a home studio. What sets this printer apart is the ease of use and outstanding print quality. The device prints technical documents like blueprints, posters, or line drawings. However, the wireless connection feature is an added advantage since one can easily print documents from one’s laptop or smartphone. Today, when architects or engineers find themselves in remote locations, accessing a necessary printout from a smartphone or tablet can often be urgent. The quality of printouts is one of the critical benefits of SC-T2100. The lines are always sharp, and it is easy to distinguish between various shades since the colors are vibrant. Every detail is captured using Epson PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead technology. The high quality of prints is also this product’s strength: the inks are pigment-based and smudge-proof, which makes them suitable for long-term storage.
While the above mentioned features are this printer’s key strengths, it also has several limitations. I consider SC-T2100’s inability to quickly handle large amounts of printing work one of its weaknesses. The overall speed is not a problem, but if I were printing thousands of pages, I would have to wait weeks for the printer to finish. While the overall setup is relatively straightforward, due to my limited experience with large-format printers, I needed help making my first print job. Overall, if your priorities are limited to high-quality prints and an excellent wireless connection at this price range, SC-T2100 is a reasonable choice. The printer is relatively compact and lightweight, so it should not be a problem in terms of space, either.
