Epson SureColor SC-P405 Specifications
Epson SureColor SC-P405 is an inkjet printer designed for photographers and artists who put high-quality prints above all else. The main advantage of this model is that it produces prints characterized by prevalent color and striking detail. The eight-color UltraChrome HG2 pigment ink appropriately includes a separate cartridge with black ink, which is undoubtedly suitable for printing monochrome images. The prints also have shine, gloss, and depth, which makes them look like those hung in prestigious galleries. The prints are equal in quality to matte, pearl, and satin paper as in gloss paper and can be further enhanced in output with some special effects. One more nice bonus is a gloss optimizer, which makes prints look more professionally done.
The advantage of SC-P405 for users is its ease of use. Papers of all kinds can be used, and the size of the paper does not, as the printer supports not only standard paper but also paper up to 13 inches wide. The fact that the printer can stand almost anywhere, as it is tiny, is an advantage. However, the weight may be inconvenient and even a bit heavy for the user. Undoubtedly, a disadvantage may also be a somewhat complicated installation process at first, but in the long run, it pays off with the price and quality of prints.
The Epson SureColor SC-P405 can be considered one of the best printers in its line. Some of the company’s previous models were competitive in print quality with this model, but in my opinion, this appliance’s output quality is unbeatable. It is worth noting that it is not particularly cheap, especially since it is relatively expensive, yet for professionals, it is worth their investment. The disadvantage, in my opinion, maybe the daily running costs associated, first and foremost, with the usage of ink, the weight of the printer, and the price of the sometimes rather expensive paper. Despite these few inconveniences, the printer is suitable for those who want quality prints and are willing to pay extra.
