Epson Stylus DX4000 Specifications
The Epson Stylus DX4000 is a simple, old fashioned printer that caters mainly to home users with the most basic expectations for printing, copying, or scanning. For an entry level model, it’s all rounded enough. Overall, the DX4000 is not a burden on the money pocket yet provides good quality across the board, none of the high price tag associated with more advanced models. Try its DURABrite Ultra ink, which is water resistant and smudge proof, for a longer documentation life. Moreover, it supports printing resolutions of up to 5760 x 1440 dpi, which is excellent for any text document, and provides perfect photo prints. The big digital cameras still hold the best with their sophisticated printing devices.
The Epson Stylus DX4000 has average performance. While it’s relatively slow, monochrome prints come out faster than color, as usual for this product class. But there might be better options for those who have better options. The scanner function has a 600 x 1200 dpi resolution for precise image reproductions, suitable for the average user. One drawback is that users cannot rely on a USB connection because it needs convenient features like wireless connectivity. It is frustrating, new models have flexibility and ease of access such as this, which the DX4000 does without.
Regarding speed and resolution, the DX4000 may need to improve compared to some of the newer market entrants, especially those providing WiFi options or elevating the resolution for scanning. However, it could be worse for cost conscious users who want an appliance. With individual ink cartridges and the like, no specific color has to be wasted anymore on report filing jobs pick your poison. In the long term, life is good. There would still be a preference for the DX4000’s all around practicality, and after sales support from Epson has also been good. There are many alternatives to their ink, making the DX4000 a good choice in the budget all in one category.
