Epson L405 Specifications

The Epson L405 is an all-in-one ink tank printer that performs well for a home or small office. The main advantage of this printer is its relatively low printing cost due to the EcoTank system. Instead of traditional cartridges, this printer uses refillable ink tanks, which reduces printing costs. Setting up does not pose any difficulty and is accompanied by clear instructions. The design is sleek, and the printer looks presentable on a desktop. However, the Epson L405 is neither the most expensive nor the best-looking printer, and there may be better fits for space-conscious users.

The printing quality deserves the highest praise: the bright colors and the text are distinct. This W-Fi printer is versatile and well-suited for everyday documents and photos: the picture is clear and does not blur. However, the weakest point of this printer is printing speed: while it is fine if you occasionally print a few pages, more is needed for printing in high volumes in a short time. The built-in scanner and copier are basic but provide clear copies. Printing from a smartphone or tablet also may be handy. While many competing models still offer at least some savings in ink expenses compared to cartridges, the difference is not that big with L405. While Canon’s G-series provides some competition, at least in theory, the EcoTank still looks much more solid. If, for whatever reason, long-term savings matter to you and you are not willing to compromise on the quality of the print, the Epson L405 is the right choice.
